Maha Ben Hmidane is the Chief Financial Officer of UPC North Africa Renewables and Director of the Tunisian subsidiaries.

UPC was established in 1995 as one of the earliest developers in wind energy. UPC formed companies have built more than 70 wind and solar operational projects representing an installed capacity of over 3,500 MW and an investment of more than 5 billion US dollars. UPC has been working in Tunisia since 1998 where it has several projects in advanced stage of development. In January 2019, the company was awarded a 30MW wind project in the authorization scheme.

Before joining UPC in 2016, Maha Ben Hmidane used to work in the financial sector. She started her career in 2009 in the Risk modelling and validation department of the French Corporate and Investment Bank Natixis. 

In 2012, she moved to Société Générale’s Risk Department, where she worked on ensuring the compliance of the Risk framework and models to the Basel regulation. In 2015, she moved to EY Tunisia to serve as a consultant for the Financial Industry in Tunisia, Mauritania and Togo.

Maha Ben Hmidane graduated from the Ecole Nationale des Statistiques de l’Administration Economiques in France with a Master Degree in Economics, Statistics and Finance.
